“IRISH CELEBRATION” – HUNTERDON HILL PLAYHOUSE – Sunday, March 18

Irish Celebration – Tony Kenney is one of Ireland’s most beloved artists, having entertained millions of people in Ireland, and across the United States in dozens of coast to coast tours, including Carnegie Hall. Featuring vocalists Victoria Kenny and Seamus Kennedy with his endless supply of jokes and stories. Added in this stellar mix of Irish artists are the Dublin City Dancers, dancing athletes who have performed with such troups as Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, and the Dublin Trinity Band, one of Ireland’s best folk bands. Come Celebrate St Patrick’s Day with us.

We will leave from the Center at 11:30 am with a rest stop on route. Enjoy a meal at the theatre approximately at 2:00 pm followed by the show. After a wonderful Irish day, we will leave at 6:30 pm. We will have a fast food stop on the way home, arriving at the Center at 10:00 pm.

    Leave the Johnson City Senior Center @7:00 am and travel to Lancaster with a rest stop en route. At approximately 11:30 am, we will arrive at Miller’s Smorgasbord for an included meal – don’t forget to visit their gift shop while you are there.

    Departing from Miller’s, at approximately 2:00 pm, we will continue on to the Sight and Sound Theater for their new production of “Jesus”. We will depart at 5:45 pm, and have a fast food stop on the way home arriving at the Center at 10:30 pm.

    Enjoy a free day at the World Trade Center

    We will leave the Center at 7:00 am with a fast food stop en route. Enjoy your stay from 10:30 am—4:00 pm. Visit the museum, Trinity Church, the observation tower and the Memorial Fountain Waterfall. Expenses will be on your own at any of the venues. A dinner stop, on your own, will be made on the way home, arriving at the Center at 9:00 pm.

    ERIE CANAL – Wednesday, May 30

    With a rest stop en route, our second trip to the Erie Canal, will find us boarding our vessel at Baldwinsville, NY and heading East. We will travel up this canal through one lock; and then return in the same direction. Our five-hour cruise on the Erie Canal will begin at 10:00 am with a continental breakfast. Later on during the cruise, lunch will be included. The cruise will end at 3:00 pm.

    “ON YOUR FEET” – PROCTOR’S THEATER – Saturday, June 2, Schenectady

    The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan on Broadway

    CAPE COD – Monday, June 11 to Thursday, June 14

    Monday – Day 1.. Leave the Center at 7:00 am for Hyannis, MA with a rest stop and lunch on your own. We will arrive at the Cape Codder Resort at 3:00 pm and receive a “welcome” gift. You have time to refresh until we board the motor coach for dinner at a local restaurant.

    Tuesday – Day 2.. After breakfast at the resort, we will board the Hyannis ferry where our guide will join us for a visit to Nantucket Island. Stroll on the local streets and have lunch on your own (**cobblestone streets, so wear comfortable shoes**). After lunch, our guide will join us for a tour of the island and then we will head back to the mainland for dinner.

    Wednesday – Day 3.. Breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a guided tour of Providencetown and the Cape Cod National Seashore. Lunch will be on your own. Later in the afternoon, you will have a choice to enjoy one of two adventures:

      a whale watch or a dune buggy tour.

    Heading back to the hotel approximately at 4:00 pm, we will enjoy a lobster dinner that evening.

    Thursday – Day 4.. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will travel to the Whydah Pirate Museum in West Yarmouth and a Antique Car Museum and a hand-carved carousel at the Heritage Gardens in Sandwich. We will wind down this fabulous journey with lunch at the Daniel Webster Inn.

    We will arrive at the Center at 8:30 pm.

    MAMMA MIA! – Merry-go-Round Playhouse, Tuesday, June 26

You will have free time to have lunch on your own, until we re board the motor coach to view the play at 2:00 pm. We will head home after the play for a fast food stop and arrive at the Center at 7:00 pm.

    “NUNSENSE” – HUNTERDON HILLS PLAYHOUSE – Thursday, July 12, Clinton, NJ

    Nunsense – The Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters and now are in dire need of funds for the burials. The remaining delightfully wacky sisters decide that the best way to raise money is to put on a variety show so they take over the school auditorium. Featuring fun songs, tap and ballet dancing, an audience quiz, and comic surprises, this show has become and international phenomenon!

    On departing from the Center, we will have a rest stop en route. Lunch at the Playhouse will be from 11:30—1:15 pm. This outstanding play will be presented from 1:15 pm—3:00 pm. You will have dinner on your own at Bingham’s Restaurant in Lenox, Pennsylvania.

    BOLDT CASTLE and ALEXANDRIA BAY – Tuesday, July 17

    The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority (TIBA) welcomes you to tour Boldt Castle to explore and experience an attraction like no other. Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home—a castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years…

    On route to Boldt Castle, we will have a rest stop and then enjoy a cruise with a lunch buffet from 12:30 pm—2:30 pm. Following the cruise, a tour of the castle can be made. With a shuttle leaving every 15 minutes from the castle, we will all be back on the motor coach to leave at 4:30 pm. A dinner stop at Cracker Barrel on your own will be made on the way home

    BRONX ZOO – Monday, August 6

    Calling all grandparents, parents and children to a “TOTAL EXPERIENCE TOUR” at the Bronx Zoo. The tour includes admission, all rides, the monorail and special exhibits. While at the zoo you are surrounded by woods, amazing animals and intriguing atmosphere – forgetting you are in the Bronx!

    Your motor coach will drop you off at the zoo and you will have from approximately 10:30 am—5:00 pm to visit this wonderful venue.

    YOU WILL ENJOY THIS DAY WITH YOUR FAMILY!

    There will be a fast food stop on the way home.

    LOBSTERFEST – Tuesday, August 14 – Holyhoke, Mass.

    We will leave at 7:00 am with a rest stop en route and arrive at the “LOG CABIN” for lunch. Lunch will be from 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Following lunch, we will enjoy a show from 1:45 pm—3:15 pm – the theme based on the Kings and Queens of Country Music. After the show, we will depart for home arriving back at the Center at 7:30 pm.

    COOPERSTOWN – Thursday, September 13

    We will leave the Center en route to Cooperstown, with an EARLY stop at the Bear Pond Winery in Oneonta. Arriving in Cooperstown approximately at noon, we will have lunch at the Otesaga Restaurant until 2:00 pm.

    After lunch, we will re board the motor coach and travel to the Fly Creek Cider Mill from 2:30 pm—4:00 pm.

    Depart from the Center @ 8:30 am and return @ 6:30 pm.

    NEW HAMPSHIRE during Fall Foliage – Monday, 9/17 to Thursday, 9/20

    Monday – Day 1.. We leave the Center at 7:00 am to Lincoln, New Hampshire, stopping for a rest stop and then lunch on your own. There will be a “welcome” reception when we arrive at approximately 3:30 pm at the Indian Head Resort with a view of the lake from your rooms. Later that day, dinner will be in the dining room, followed by entertainment at 7:30 pm.

    Tuesday – Day 2.. After breakfast at the hotel, we will leave the resort at 8:00 am and head to Mt. Washington where we will ride the “cog” railway to the summit. After this wonderful experience, we will travel to North Conway for lunch on your own. We travel back to our hotel along the Kancamagus Highway to the scenic byway through the White Mountains. After a brief rest, we will again have dinner in the dining room, followed by entertainment at 7:30 pm.

    Wednesday – Day 3.. After breakfast at the hotel, we will leave at 9:00 am and travel to Franconia Notch State Park visitor’s center. Following our visit to the park, we will be welcomed at Harman’s Cheese and Country Store at Sugar Hill.  There you will find the “World’s Greatest” Cheddar Cheese. Polly’s Pancake Parlor will be our stop for lunch.

    We will head back to the hotel at 4:15 pm to prepare for our next excursion – the Café La Fayette Dinner Train. **NOTE: DRESS APPROPRIATELY** After dinner, back to the hotel.

    Thursday – Day 4.. After another breakfast at the hotel, we will head home, but not before stopping for Sophie’s Mail boat. Not enough to eat so far?? How about lunch at Hart’s Turkey Farm. We will leave the White Mountains and all our adventures at 1:30 pm with a rest and fast food stop (really?) arriving at the Center at 8:30 pm.

    LAKE GEORGE – Wednesday, October 10

    Lake George, nicknamed the Queen of American Lakes, is a long, narrow lake located at the southeast base of the Adirondack Mountains. The lake is situated along the historical natural path between the valleys of the Hudson and St. Lawrence Rivers.
    The lake extends about 32.2 mi (51.8 km) on a north-south axis, is quite deep, and varies from one to three miles.

    We will leave the Center and look forward to enjoy the beauty of the lake and the surrounding area.  We will have a rest stop en route and will board the Lake George Steamboat Company for a lunch cruise from noon until 2:00 pm. Departing from Lake George at 3:00 pm, we will have a rest stop on the way home.

    CUPCAKE TOUR – NEW YORK CITY – Thursday, November 1

    Departing from the Center at 7:00 am, there will be a rest area stop on the way to NYC. Meeting up with our guide at 11:00 am, he will take us on a tour of four bakeries, including a lunch stop at one. After enjoying such fabulous pastries, we will say goodbye to our wonderful, and delectable adventure.

    Departing at 4:00 pm, we will stop for dinner on your own at Six Brothers Restaurant from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, arriving home at 8:30 pm.
