In the Ziegfeld Follies, in Hollywood films, and on the radio, Fanny Brice was one of the most celebrated entertainers of her time. View the lovely scenery as we venture to the Forestburg Playhouse, the oldest continuously operating professional summer theater in New York State for a buffet lunch in their tavern. We will then walk close by to attend a matinee show at 2:00 pm of “Funny Girl” at the playhouse. Departing for home at 4:15 pm, we will have a fast food stop on the way home.

|Departing from the Center at 7:30am, we will have a rest area stop on the way to Little Falls, New York. Upon arrival, we will join Erie Canal Cruises for a cruise on the Erie Canal to Herkimer. We will then disembark at the historic Herkimer House where we will have a wonderful BBQ picnic lunch.
After our lunch, 1/2 of our group will tour Herkimer House, while the other half of our group will be invited to an 18th century chocolate making demonstration. The groups will then change places.
Reboarding the boat at 3:30pm, we will then cruise back to Little Falls. A fast food rest stop will be make en route home in Oneonta.
We will depart for home after our historic adventure— arriving home at the Center.

We will see “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”
It is the late 1970s, and a brothel has been operating outside of fictional Gilbert, Texas, for more than a century. It is under the proprietorship of Miss Mona Stangley, having been left to her by the original owner. While taking care of her girls, she is also on good terms with the local sheriff.
The show follows Miss Mona, and the notorious Chicken Ranch, the best brothel in Texas. While Miss Mona is friendly with sheriff Ed Earl Dodd, she finds herself under scrutiny, when television reporter Melvin P. Thorpe makes an issue out of the brothel’s evening activities.
We will have a rest stop en route Skaneateles to have lunch on our own. Reboarding the bus at 1:00pm, we will proceed to the playhouse and then after the play, we will depart for home with a fast food stop on the way home.

We will travel to Utica and board the Adirondack Scenic Railroad to Thendora, New York. Following the train ride, we will then be taken to Old Forge for free time to browse, shop and have lunch on your own.
Reboarding the motor coach at 2:30pm, we will then have a two hour boat cruise on Old Forge Lake for a cruise through the Fulton chain of lakes.
After an enjoyable day, we will depart for home with a fast food stop on the way home.

STATE OF MAINE DURING FALL FOILAGE!
Day 1: Leaving the JCSC at 7:00—Destination – Ogunquit, Maine. A rest and meal stop will be made en route as needed. Upon arrival at approximately 2:30pm, we will be taken to Stonewall Kitchens where all the products are homemade.
Reboarding the motor coach, we will arrive at our hotel (Meadow-Mere Resort ) and will have time to freshen-up before we head out to an included dinner.
Day 2: After enjoying breakfast at our hotel, we will board the bus for a guided tour of Kennebunkport – with lunch on your own. We will reboard the bus for a return to Ogunquit, to enjoy a cruise on the Perkins Cove lobster boat. We will return to the hotel for a included lobster-bake dinner and entertainment.
Day 3: After breakfast again at our hotel, we will travel to Booth Bay Harbor. Upon arrival, there will be a one hour guided tour of the Maine botanical gardens. Free time for exploring and free lunch on your own. Reboarding the motor coach, we will visit the Seashore Trolley Museum. We will then head back to our hotel where we will again enjoy an included dinner.
Day 4: After breakfast, we will leave our home away from home and travel to Wells, Maine. There we will board the “Downeaster” Amtrak train and enjoy the train ride down the Eastern coast to Boston. We will then reboard the motor coach, stopping at Quincy Market for free time and lunch on your own until 1:00pm. Our next destination Is the JFK Library which is celebrating JFK’s 100th birthday.
What a marvelous mini-vacation as we depart for home at 3:00pm—arriving back at the Center at 9:00pm.

On our way to Rochester, there will be a fast food stop. We will then continue on to visit The Strong National Museum of Play – Western New York’s largest cultural attraction. Explore two floors of playful exhibit spaces spanning more that a city block. Discover the world’s largest collection of toys, dolls, and games. Test your skills on classic arcade video games, leap into the world of American comic book heroes, play in a retro pinball arcade, or walk among hundreds of free-flying butterflies.
You will be on your own after receiving tokens to play with. Enjoy their cafeteria for lunch on your own, as you will be at the museum for approximately three hours.
After our enjoyable time at the Strong, we will look forward to a stop at the Casa Largo Vineyards in Fairport, NY.
An included dinner stop will be made on the way home at a Cracker Barrel to end this perfect day – a day when our memories from the past return.

Day 1: Leave the Johnson City Senior Center @8:30am and travel to Gettysburg with a fast food lunch stop en route.
We will have a guide for a driving tour of the Gettysburg battlefield for approximately two hours. After our tour, we will depart for the (brand new) Best Western, settle in, but then freshen up for a buffet dinner at the historic Dobbin House. A visit from Abe Lincoln – remembering his holidays – will conclude our historic day, as we head back to our hotel at approximately 9:00pm.
Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, we will continue our journey to Lancaster and arrive at Sight & Sound’s “Miracle of Christmas”.
After the show, we will arrive at Millers Smorgasbord for an included meal – don’t forget to include their gift shop while you are there.
After a delightful two days, we will depart for home and arrive at the Center approximately at 8:30pm.

A festive holiday revue
An ensemble cast of multi-talented performers celebrate Christmas in an original holiday song and dance fest featuring traditional carols, classic and contemporary Yuletide compositions, humorous skits and spectacular dance numbers – all backed by a live, onstage orchestra.
We will have a rest stop en route; arriving for an included lunch at the playhouse approximately at 11:30am. The “Playhouse Christmas Show” will begin at 1:15pm. On departure for home, we will stop at Bingham’s Restaurant in Lenox, Pa. for dinner on your own.
